Valerie Nyberg is a high school administrator, freelance photographer, and writer. She's the proud mother of three boys, ages 22, 19, and 16. She has a B.Ed. in English and Communications and a MA in English from the Western Washington University. She holds an education administrative certificate and Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning (with an emphasis in literacy) from University of Iowa. In her spare time, she travels, hikes, exercises, reads, and enjoys watching movies. It is Valerie's goal to leave the country at least every other year as well as continue visiting the national parks throughout the United States.
