Nicole Gainyard is a teacher, writer, and mother to an adult son. She earned her BA in English from Hunter College-CUNY and her Master’s and PhD in English from the University of Iowa. While at University of Iowa, Nicole had the distinct pleasure of participating in the Overseas’ Writing Workshop through the prestigious Writer’s Workshop Nonfiction Program. In her spare time she loves to travel, exercise, read, nurture her plants, and play with her cat Sterling. She is currently working on a childhood memoir, to be released in fall 2019.
